The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus
It was not as good as I thought it would be, but it was Heath Ledger’s last film, and I wanted to see how they changed the script after he passed away 1/3 into the movie. I have to say, that’s some clever rewrites and fantastic casting (Johnny Depp, Jude Law, Colin Farrell) who gave all of their earnings from the movie to Matilda, Heath Ledger’s daughter.
Lily Cole is gorgeous

Smoking Cannabis Does Not Cause Lung Cancer →
This post is for you, my dear friend J.
Seeing your countless reblogs of pictures of maryjanes (some looked like alien babies), I just had to wonder…and there it is.
Oh, and also, the study was done by a UCLA professor. Double holla. Go Bruins.

The Kids Are All Right
Plot: Nic (Annette Benning) and Jules (Julianne Moore) have been partners for over a decade, living in the suburbs of California with their two children, Joni and Laser. Each of them have received a sperm from the same donor, Paul (Mark Ruffalo); Nic with Joni, and Jules with Laser. A few months before Joni goes off to college, she and Laser decide to meet their sperm donor, and things get...

Misfits
The plot may sound a little lame (even though it’s actually awesome)… but here it goes:
5 young offenders (Nathan, Kelly, Simon, Alisha, Curtis) along with their probation worker get hit by the lightning while working at the community center. Since then, they have acquired different powers that are somewhat related to their own self before the storm. Kelly seems to have become...

Coachella ticket is purchased,
Now all I have to do is wait until I see this in April.
Still bitter that I missed Muse last year. Sigh.

Final Destination 3
I just watched FD3 for the…. I don’t know maybe 5th or 6th time, and I wanted to share my love for this movie.
As an avid gore/horror fan, I watch a lot of horror films; even the ones that I know are going to be bad (and they usually ARE really bad) to kill time, because I’m bored, to see how bad it is, whatever.
Among the countless horror movies I watched over the years,...

Hairy
I recently watched Tangled and Hairspray.
I thought Hairspray was going to be cheesy, but I actually really enjoyed it. I liked the vibrant colors of the clothes and the sets.
Tangled was really enjoyable as well. Did you know that it’s the last princess Disney will feature in their movies? Mandy Moore is amazing as Rapunzel.
While we’re discussing hair movies, if you...

Coco avant Chanel
It tells a story of Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel before she pioneered a new wave of fashion into the world. The film is mainly focused on her personal life (losing her mother and being sent to an orphanage, growing up as a singer at a bar, meeting the love of her life). Though I adore her, Audrey Tatou seemed a little too old to play a 15-year-old as she was pushing for her mid-30s.

Pineapple Express
Because of Freaks and Geeks withdrawal, I am now watching Pineapple Express.
Judd Apatow, you are so loyal to your actors. I want to take this time to thank you for producing F&G and P.E.

…the biggest dilemma is whether or not I should eat at 1:40AM, right before I go to sleep.
Do I satisfy my stomach? OR Do I want the Coachella body?
Tonight, Coachella body wins, I’m too lazy to brush my teeth again anyway.

This Lady Is Legendary
A 98 year old lady in the UK wrote a letter to her bank when her check bounced. The bank manager thought it amusing enough to have it published in the Times.
Dear Sir, I am writing to thank you for bouncing my cheque with which I endeavoured to pay my plumber last month. By my calculations, three nanoseconds must have elapsed between his presenting the cheque and the arrival in my account of the...

I have a newfound respect for James Franco as an actor.
Watch it, you won’t be disappointed.
Who You Are and What They Say
If you are confident, they will say you are arrogant.
If you are deliberate, they will say you are too sure of yourself.
If you have a sense of purpose, they will say you are self-absorbed.
If you know who you are, they will ask, “Who are you, anyway?”
If you believe in kindness and compassion, they will say you are naïve.
If you are a dreamer, they will say “join the real world.”
If you...

Here is another batch of movies that I watched recently:
4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 Days
Set in Communist ruled Romania in the late 1980s, the film follows two college students getting an illegal abortion through the black market, which has proliferated in the country due to the government repression. The focus is on the friend rather than the one getting the abortion. As the tag line “How...
